Wolfblanc Architects is seeking a creative, technically skilled, and contextually aware architect to join our Stockholm studio. We’re looking for someone with strong design sensibility, strategic thinking, and commitment to contemporary residential projects and characterful renovations.
Our work combines Scandinavian design discipline with international perspective drawn from our studios in Madrid and Athens. We create homes that respond to Nordic light, climate, and landscape while embracing thoughtful innovation.
About the role
You’ll work on residential projects ranging from single-family villas to apartment renovations throughout Stockholm and the surrounding region. Our portfolio includes projects in urban Stockholm, archipelago summer houses, and extensions that carefully balance preservation with contemporary needs.
We collaborate with private clients and property developers, guiding projects from initial concept through building permits (bygglov) to construction completion. Each project integrates sustainable material choices, energy efficiency, and design quality adapted to Swedish building traditions and climate.
Your responsibilities
Participate actively in residential projects from concept design through technical documentation and construction supervision. Coordinate with structural engineers, HVAC consultants, contractors, and municipal authorities to ensure buildability and regulatory compliance.
Manage building permit processes with Stockholm municipalities, navigating PBL (Plan- och bygglagen) and BBR (Boverkets byggregler) requirements. Develop BIM-based technical drawings and specifications using Revit or ArchiCAD.
Integrate passive design strategies and energy-efficient systems tailored to Swedish climate conditions. Lead client communication, translating their needs into architectural solutions that improve daily living while respecting site context and neighborhood character.
Who you are
Licensed architect with several years of experience in residential projects in Sweden, preferably single-family homes or renovations in Stockholm. Strong knowledge of Swedish building regulations, PBL, and the building permit process.
Proficient in Revit or ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite. Independent, proactive, with initiative and strong collaborative skills. Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We value experience in sustainable architecture, passion for light and materiality, genuine interest in learning and improving, and international experience or multicultural perspective. Understanding of Swedish architectural heritage and contemporary Nordic design discourse is appreciated.
What we offer
Opportunity to work in a European architecture practice with active studios in Stockholm, Madrid, and Athens. Meaningful residential projects where your architectural voice matters and quality defines every decision.
Flexible working environment with possibility for hybrid work arrangements. Continuous professional development in BIM, sustainability frameworks, and WELL Building Standard (focused on healthy indoor environments).
Collaboration across borders with opportunities to participate in international projects. Direct contact with clients and co-creation throughout the design process. A studio culture that values clarity, care, and contextual thinking in every commission.
Competitive compensation with flexible benefits system. Offices in Stockholm designed to support both focused work and creative collaboration. Team activities that strengthen connection and inspiration.
Our philosophy
Wolfblanc is an architecture studio with personal scale but international orientation. We design homes that consider place, light, climate, and people’s lives. Our roots are in Stockholm, Madrid, and Athens—cities that have shaped our understanding of what architecture can be.
We approach each project with curiosity rather than predetermined solutions, staying involved in every detail from sketch to construction. Our work integrates Nordic precision with Mediterranean warmth, creating architecture that is both rigorous and humane.
We believe thoughtful design has lasting positive impact on people’s daily experience and the built environment. We’re committed to sustainability not as a trend but as fundamental responsibility toward climate and future generations.
