Located in Athens’ historic center, Varvakeios Square is reimagined as a vibrant, safe, and inclusive urban space. Inspired by the area’s iconic arcades and rooftops, the design weaves physical and social layers to revive public life. By preserving key architectural elements and introducing open, multi-level terrain, the project fosters connection, exploration, and community gathering. Integrating green spaces and adaptable infrastructure, it aims to create a resilient hub where culture, ecology, and urban life thrive.
