In the heart of Stockholm, we had the privilege of transforming a compact 36 sqm studio apartment into a functional and stylish home for a young couple preparing to move in together. Situated in a 1930s “funkis” building, the apartment required innovative solutions to optimize its layout while preserving comfort and embracing flexibility for future needs.

Wolfblanc took on the project, providing a comprehensive service that spanned from design conception to construction management. By demolishing the existing walls, we created a blank slate to redefine the apartment’s layout. The new design strategically incorporated a well-defined master bedroom while establishing a modern, functional kitchen. We optimized the layout of the toilet for better usability and space efficiency and seamlessly integrated built-in wardrobes to provide ample storage. These changes ensured a balanced combination of functionality, comfort, and adaptability.

The reimagined apartment now features a highly functional layout tailored to the couple’s current and evolving needs. Thoughtful design ensured that every square meter was utilized without compromising comfort or aesthetics. Years later, we are delighted to learn that the couple, now with a child, continues to happily live in the space we helped create, demonstrating the adaptability and success of the design.
